Gundog

The gundog program is designed to develop the basic commands of a hunting retriever!

In this program we expand the basic obedience program into the field and teach your dog to be a hunting companion that behaves in the blind and retrieves birds that are then delivered to hand!

This program generally takes 4 months of training, obtaining an obedient hunting retriever!

In this program we teach dogs to be steady to shot, sent to retrieve on their name, obediently deliver the birds to the heel position, and release the bird into your hand! 

We will introduce your dog to every simulated hunting scenario possible, from a day in the dove field to hundreds of waterfowl decoys on land and water!

Completion of this program makes them eligible for AKC Junior/UKC Started Hunt Tests! 

This program is the beginning stages of the advanced gundog and performance retriever programs!
